Brodie Simmons, LPC-S, LCDC
Since 2009, Brodie Simmons has dedicated his career to supporting teens, young adults, and families grappling with pervasive mental illnesses or addiction. Specializing in individual therapy, parent coaching, and intensive psychotherapy, Brodie is a seasoned professional holding the titles of Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.
Establishing his private practice in the Spring/Woodlands area of North Houston in 2015, Brodie has been a compassionate guide for both neurotypical and neurodivergent teens and young adults. As a proud member of the American Counseling Association, he earned recognition as a National Certified Counselor from the National Board for Certified Counselors.
Brodie has been an integral part of Gateway Academy, a private school for 6th-12th graders with learning and social difficulties, since 2013. He has served as a Choices Counselor, instructor, counselor, staff trainer, and Clinical Director for both Gateway Academy and Advance Houston, a program for neurodivergent young adults. Additionally, Brodie advises on the NEEDS program by Crime Stoppers of Houston, delivering tailored curricula for neurodivergent students in public schools. He recently became the NEEDS Liaison, collaborating directly with Crime Stoppers to provide training, curriculum, and resources to Houston's special needs community.
Currently Brodie is thrilled to be launching his podcast, Life Together w/ Brodie, providing a platform for guests to share and discuss their personal mental health journeys, with a focus on improving the well-being of our world together. The podcast will also feature insights from local and national experts, representing diverse services, programs, and organizations dedicated to enhancing community wellness. He is also creating a series of curriculum for parents, therapists, life coaches, and young people sharing the lessons he has learned from his various professional roles.
Brodie is also currently working on publishing his first book sharing stories and lessons for parents of teenagers with an emphasis on guiding parents in cultivating a healthier relationship with themselves so that they can build a healthier relationship with their teens & young adults.
